This month, we turn the focus on psychedelic rock and krautrock. The overall mood is spacey, swirly and exploratory, with am fierce section of high-energy tracks towards the middle.
Some of the songs you'll hear feature unconventional structures, extended instrumental parts and repetitive rhythms. Others are simpler, more smoothing and gentler on the ear.
We start with ethereal soundscapes and wrap up along the same notes. Everything in between is a blend of hazy psychedelia and raw intensity that slowly builds up toward a climax before retracting into silence.
Inflection point: ‘Daytime Coma’ by Archive
Special mention goes Rebecca Baby’s soaring voice and tremolo on ‘Brazil’.
Happy listening! I hope you enjoy it.

Streaming platforms are great for discovering music and listening on the go, but don’t get it twisted - the best way to support artists and labels you love is to buy their music when it’s possible for you.
